Hi guys, yep it’s about time I pulled my finger out and got a new post done as i promised at Christmas time. Yeah, 4 months ago. I know. So why haven’t I been here? For a while we were busy, quite busy and by the time everything was done the last thing on my mind was sitting here punching out another post. Sorry. I did lose a little bit of motivation with this blog because one thing i guess all bloggers like to see is interaction, reactions and the like. To keep it short and sweet, if you like a post, hit the like button and don’t be afraid to leave a comment. I can see the hits on my blog and I know there are plenty of you guys having a read(yeah some are bots, but that’s only minimal) so get into it. If you like something I write, let me know. It means a lot
Things are really topsy turvy in the world at the moment with this shitty Corona virus and if you haven’t already been affected by it in one way or another, you will be. Whether the virus gets you or a loved one( lets hope not) or your home life or work life takes a hit, we’re all feeling it. There is a lot of sick people out there and more will get sick, unfortunately. People have lost their jobs and many have reduced hours, and yes that may well get worse before it gets better.
The company I work for is a large company with about a dozen dealerships under their belt and they are feeling the pinch just like everyone and it’s a day by day process of changes as work dies off. Technicians with reduced hours. Others being sent home once the daily work is done. It sucks! Having to take annual leave, if you have any to make sure you get a full weeks wage otherwise it’s unpaid. I’ve taken the last week and a half off with some of my annual leave so that someone else at work who doesn’t have any annual leave left could still work for now.
How long we remain open is still a mystery at the moment. Several other dealerships have pulled the pin for now, closing their doors until things get better. I almost think a full lockdown is needed in Australia now. Sooner rather than later. I don’t want it but let’s get this virus under control ASAP! Social distancing is working, sort of, but people are still packing some shopping centres and the markets are out of control. Just last weekend Queensland Police handed out 58 fines at $1300 a pop because some peanuts decided to have a car meet!
I don’t want this to be all doom and gloom. I have got some new posts in the works as promised. I’m just a little bit slow at getting them done. A good mate of mine has gotten me back into diecast collecting. Still not sure if that was a good idea or not hahaha. I used to collect diecast cars quite a few years ago and eventually stopped and in fact sold a majority of my collection a few years ago. Now Ghita and myself have a spare room just for our collections. I collect Diecast cars, mostly Hot Wheels and Ghita collects Harry Potter and besides a huge work desk taking up one corner of the room, the rest of the room is just about filled with display cases and storage for the things we don’t have room to display! So I want to share my hobby with you guys, why not?
I also have amongst other posts I want to do is a post on “Long Distance Relationships”. I don’t mean from one town to the next but one country to another country. If you know anything about myself and Ghita you’ll know that Ghita is from Indonesia and we’ve been together for a bit over 4 years now. But dating someone from overseas is very different to dating someone in your own country and I’d like to share what I’ve learnt over the years to help you if you’re thinking about doing the same. Scammer’s, gold diggers and users are unfortunately abundant and they’re looking for that next sucker to get money or goods out of you. And it doesn’t matter whether you’re a man or a woman. Luckily I never got scammed and I helped a woman I met realise she was being scammed. She had already given these people $1200 and if it wasn’t for the fact that she has called me and asked to borrow money from me she would have handed over another $3500. Madness! I guess that’s what some people will do on a promise of wondrous things that aren’t real. And I’m tipping that now so many people are at home with little to do that these scammers will be rubbing their hands together.
I think I’ve rambled on enough for now so let me get these new posts done and in the meantime be safe. Stay at home if you can, wash your hands and keep to the social distancing. Don’t go partying or shopping just because you’re bored. We all are but the more people disregard the requests and rules the longer this virus will be around. And DON’T hoard shit! There’s no need so don’t do it! Lets flatten this curve here in Australia so life can start returning to some sort of normal.
Like they say, WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER…
Be Safe and I’ll see you next time
